When was the last time you attempted something 15 times without succeeding?
Toddlers have many lessons to teach us. In this episode, you’ll hear a VERY tired me sharing the lesson of persistence as taught to me by my two-year-old daughter, Maddox.
Undaunted by consistently being deposited back in her bedroom, Maddox attempted to climb into bed with us no less than 15 times. She didn’t hold a grudge in the morning, although I kind of did.
We try something maybe a handful of times before we give up. Too often, we let our failures mean something bigger about ourselves.
But what if we kept trying? What if we reminded ourselves of our inherently worthiness and capability, adjusted our strategy slightly, and kept going after the thing that we wanted?
In this episode, you’ll be amused, you’ll hear a few ways that lessons in persistence (as taught to me by a toddler) might be applied in your work and your personal life.
Listen. Laugh. Share with a friend, and then, accept the challenge:
I challenge you to find ONE area of your life where the persistence of a toddler could help you break down a roadblock at work or break a bad habit in your personal life.
