Mindfulness: An interview with Dr. Sarah Winslow

Do you struggle with leaving work at work? Ever lose hours down the rabbit hole that is social media?

Meet Dr. Sarah Winslow, a family practice doctor and mother of three.

In her career, Dr. Winslow is on the front lines with people during many pivotal stages of life: births, deaths, illness, and everything in between. At home, she has three kids roughly two years apart in age, with the youngest still in diapers. I think it is safe to say that Dr. Winslow has to be “on” A LOT.

In this interview, she shares how she and her husband make it work. You’ll hear how having a baby while in residency shaped her and her husband’s career paths, practical tips for setting boundaries with screentime, and ultimately how having kids has impacted the way she shows up for her patients.

She’s also the Binkie Fairy.

I’d love to hear how you’re going to practice mindfulness today: share in the comments below!

A note to the persnickety audio people: I totally forgot to plug in my mic for this interview, so the audio isn’t as pristine as I’d have liked.
