Lately I’ve found myself replacing ‘do your best’ with ‘your best just keeps getting better.’
“Do your best” is a bullshit phrase. Usually when I use it on somebody else, they’re already discouraged, frustrated, or scared. Those are not places that ‘your best’ is bred.
“Your best just keeps getting better” on the other hand, acknowledges how hard it is to show up. It encourages effort without being condescending. It promises that by making an effort, your efforts will be more and more rewarding.
In this riff, I share a few examples from my personal life of how just showing up, daily, without beating myself up or getting discouraged, has led to transformation in my health, business, and relationships. I hope you find a way to embrace “Your best just keeps getting better” today.
