I just got back from my longest stretch away from my husband and kids: Five days for the Rise Business conference in South Carolina. The speaker line-up was so exciting, and investing in me and my business felt amazing, and DANG is Charleston a cool place to visit. I went in knowing I was going to learn a TON.
But one of the biggest lessons from the conference was one I was reminded of even before I left.
I squeezed as much intensity and intention into the 24 hours prior to my departure as I possibly could. I did my best to savor every little moment because I knew how much my heart would ache for these little interactions while I was away.
And I found myself wondering why we don’t live with such intensity more regularly. The day wasn’t some kind of epic series of special events, it was just a regular Tuesday. Yet, it was one of my favorite days with our kids ever.
