How to travel the world with kids, and other life lessons: an interview with Kaleigh Vrapi

Have you dreamed of traveling the world, but then, life intervened?

In this insightful and inspiring interview, Kaleigh Vrapi shares her experience traveling the entire United States and 28 countries with her husband and three kids. She also talks about seeking balance, acting in alignment with your values, and quality over quantity with both work effort and family effort.

There aren’t many people I’ve met in my life that work as hard as Kaleigh. She’s pursuing BIG dreams in her career right now, and she’s still finding ways to be present with her husband and three kids.

My biggest takeaway from this episode is this:

Know what is important to you, and let your actions back up those values.

If you say travel is a value of yours, then you’ll save money so you can travel. If your career is your priority, then you’ll show up well at work so you achieve your career goals. If focused time with those you love is important, you will turn off the games on your phone so that your phone can become a tool to help you accomplish your goals, not a distraction from them.

Next-most-important: be done with guilt!
And also, let’s support each other, ladies!

This is the longest episode of the podcast and for good reason. The only editing I could bring myself to do was the removal of a few small interruptions from my army of children.

Get after your dreams. Excuses don’t serve you, or the future you envision.

What is your main takeaway from this episode? Will you block games on your cell phone? Will you show up differently in the eye of the storm? Will you act differently because you aren’t currently showing up aligned to your values? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!
